Last year’s program, held in Indianapolis, brought together more than 250 wood products professionals, industry suppliers and industry association representatives.

This year’s program expansions will address a variety of industry-best environmental practices, ranging from using certified woods and reducing finishing emissions to trends in green design and recycling manufacturing waste, in addition to table-top exhibits hosted by representatives of board products, woodworking machinery and supplies.

Build Now for the Future: A Blueprint for Economic Success

October 22, 2009:  The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC of America) urged US senators to extend the first-time home buyers tax credit and extend the five-year carry-back  of net operating costs to help reverse the extensive declines in construction employment.

The association’s recovery plan titled Build Now for the Future: A Blueprint for Economic Success for the Construction Industry, includes both measures, as a crucial means to boost private construction activity, accounting for up to 70 percent of annual construction activity.
