And for the first time, wood turning will be the chosen theme for the Wonders in Wood Young at Art Emerging Talent Competition – a special presentation and sales exhibit thatshowcases the creations of young artists and next-generation trade people who use wood as their artistic medium.

The Wonders in Wood Program was initiated in 2010 by Deutsche Messe—owner and operator of the Hannover Fairgrounds, one of the world’s largest and most active trade fair companies—in association with the Bad Kissingen State Vocational School and the Association of German Wood Turners and Wooden Toy Craftsmen.

LIGNA 2011 featured 1,723 exhibitors from 48 different countries. A total of 867 exhibitors came from outside Germany. The show’s rich array of displays filled a total of 130,000 square meters (1,399,000 sq. ft.) of net space. LIGNA 2011 attracted 88,000 visitors from 90 different nations, with foreign attendees accounting for over a third of the total.

Once again in 2013, LIGNA will provide its exhibitors with unparalleled opportunities to cultivate their customer base and generate new business and image gains.
